Queen of the South have further strengthened there squad, with the signing of former Hearts defender Stephen Simmons.
Simmons who has also played for Dunfermline & was recently rumored to be joining Dundee, has signed a contract which will keep him at the Palmerston Park club until December 31.
Simmons recently played as a trialist for Raith Rovers, but jumped at the chance to sign for Queens.
Queen of the South who currently sit second on the Irn-Bru First Division 1 table, will be hoping that Simmons can bring his SPL experience & help the Dumfries club push for that elusive SPL promotion.
Simmons left Hearts at the end of last season, and was able to negotiate with any club as a free agent.
It's not known whether Simmons will be in the squad to face Morton in the Alba Challenge Cup on Sunday, but he will surely add another dimension to the Queens team.
